Terrance P. Power, CFP, CLU, ChFC
President and Owner, American Pension Services, LLC

Terry has been in the retirement plan and investment industry for nearly 30 years. He is responsible for overseeing the operation of the firm as well as the overall marketing and communication strategy that is employed. Terry has been involved in the installation of over 3,000 retirement plans during his career and is widely regarded as an expert in the field. He has an extensive background in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) retirement plan field, having over 19 years of experience in this highly specialized area. American Pension Services has been an Associate Member of NAPEO since our inception in 2000.

Terry spent over ten successful years as a retirement plan wholesaler for Manulife Financial (now marketed as John Hancock) in Florida. He was a member of the Manulife Product Design committee in the early 1990's and was instrumental in the development of one of the most successful products ever introduced in the small to mid-sized retirement plan market. He was recognized numerous times by Manulife Financial for his sales efforts during his career with them. He held National Association of Secutities Dealers (NASD) Series 6,7, 24 and 63 licenses during his retirement plan sales career.

Terry completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado in 1986, and earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations from the American College in Pennsylvania shortly thereafter. He is an alumnus of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and is active in their Alumni activities in Florida. He is also a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.

He is a Past President of the Florida West Coast Employee Benefits Council, a member of the Tampa Pension Council, and is an Associated Professional Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). He has been a member of the Southern Benefits Conference and the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA). He has also been nominated to serve on the U. S. Department of Labor's  ERISA Advisory Board and was also nominated in the 401kWire.com annual survey of the 401(k) Industry's Most Influential Individuals for 2008 and 2009. Terry has spoken before many industry associations and has had several articles published relating to qualified retirement plans.

An avid pilot for over 35 years, Terry is a member of the Civil Air Patrol's National Headquarters Support Squadron in Maxwell, Alabama. He has served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations as well as the Florida Wing Project Officer for the International Air Cadet Exchange Program (IACE) for CAP as well. He holds the rank of Captain in the organization, which is the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Terry resides in Clearwater, Florida with his two children, Meghan and Christopher.

Linda has been involved in the administration of retirement plans for well over twenty years. She is responsible for overseeing all the compliance and administrative functions of the firm, including the management of our plan administration service team. She holds the prestigious Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation which underscores her knowledge and commitment to this complex industry. As an extremely visible and well-respected resource in the retirement plan field, Linda brings tremendous value and credibility to our clients and intermediaries. She remains actively involved in both the community and in various industry associations.
